Hey mate, a double crossing in 2 days would be awesome. Still big days but it would be enjoyable and not exhausting like it was in 24 hrs. And it means a lot less gear needs to be carried. If you are competent riders you'll be fine.

@@joshuarykers thanks mate I like the riding waaaay more than the camping so happy to stay at Birdsville cabins and set off with just what I need for the trip. It will be more fun that carrying heaps of camping stuff

@@joshuarykers ohhh ok. So where did you start? I was curious if it was possible to do this river from Swifts Creek or so.

I carried 31 litres. 20 litre tank + 10 litre bladder + 1 litre bottle just incase. Used 28 litres each way. The KTM's are pretty good on fuel. to be honest we did little to no training, just rode consistently and battled the fatigue as best we could.

@@getslimdad yeah there isn't a 20L option anymore. Acerbis make a 15L for the KTM and IMS make a 17L

Hey mate. the bridge is at Eaglevale at the end of the Wonnangatta road. you can ford the river there as well but if it's too deep the bridge is a good option.

Hey also, I have been checking out some of your videos, you clearly love shooting and editing the videos of your ride. You might be interested in a video that I'm going to be publishing on my channel in a couple of weeks... Its going to be called something like "How to optimise your GoPro footage for Adventure Bike riding". I used to be a professional TV cameraman and love making videos and I wasn't happy with the quality of my GoPro footage when it ended up on UA-cam. So that started me doing research and experiments to find the best settings and workflow. I'll give you a teaser..... did you know that UA-cam has two different video compressors that it uses. One for the every day man (you and I), and then a different one ... higher quality for it's "VIP users"... the people with big followings etc. Anyway, I've found how we can force UA-cam to compress our videos using the high-quality codec which gives better quality playback... I'll be sharing that in the video I produce. Also, I just bought a new drone and I'm going to be doing a video on that. It's called a Skydio2 and it's a game-changer for dirt bike riding. Have you heard of it?

@@brentbat I'd be interested in seeing the video. I've had the same trouble. Quality is always lost on upload and I've wondered how other videos on UA-cam don't seem to have the same trouble. Post a link to the video when it goes live. na I haven't heard of that drone.
